Big things for the week
This week has been crazy! We got all moved in and dove right into our new life. We enjoyed the fantastic Penn State ice cream, its really is amazing, and the creamery is the oldest in the country. We went to a barbecue in Joe Paternos back yard......(well in all truth it was in the park behind his house, but it sounds so exciting that way!). The biggest thing that happened however, was our little smelly Ellie traded crawling for walking. Does that mean she is no longer a baby!?! I hope not!
Fun at the pool!
The kids have become obsessed with the pool here at our apartment. We are trying to enjoy the nice warm weather as much as possible while it lasts!
Our new home...the not...so...white...house!!!
After months of planning and preparing we finally arrived in State College to our new home! Somehow when we were looking at our apartment on the Internet I got confused and remembered it being white. So to prepare Hudson for our relocation I would tell him all about our new white house. We had lots of talks about the "white house", the fun we were going to have and the new friends we were going to make. Well, as you can see it is not white! I was worried that Hudson was going to be confused about the color. Thankfully he hasn't seem to notice. It might be because all the walls are white or the enormous white water tower that towers over our apartment. I think he is just so excited that he now has a pool and a lot of big "wee's" (playground slides) that he doesn't care a bit about the color of our apartment building! On a funny note; due to our talks, every person he meets he thinks they are his "new friends". So, when we see strangers in the grocery store or anywhere he says, "hi new friends".

Baltimore Inner Harbor
We decided that after landing in Baltimore Washington Airport that we should see the sights around the inner harbor before Sam's flight left.
Hudson really liked the boats, water and all the fish that were hanging around the boats. When we tried to feed a little bit of his muffin to the fish a mighty tantrum ensued.
Uncle Sam took the submarine tour and we explored the sights while he explored the historic ships that are moored in the Harbor.
We decided to take a boat tour of the harbor. The air conditioned boat was worth every penny! It was just getting hot and muggy when we got on, so a little break was nice. The tour gave us all a really nice view of the sights in the harbor and we got to be up close to some huge ships.
The kids had such a great day. Lucky for us they had so much fun they slept all the way to our new home in State College Pennsylvania.

The kids cooled off at the end of the day in a splash pad. They didn't want to leave. We almost stayed too long. We barely got Sam to the airport in time for him to fly back to Utah. Thanks Shlammy for driving out with Jake and helping us get settled!

The Trip
Ellie may look like a sweet little girl, but confine her to a plane full of 300 strangers and she becomes a crazed shrieking monster! She was not happy and she made sure everyone knew it. Even as excited as I was to see Jake after 10 long days, our flight to meet him, was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life! Thank goodness Hudson was good and slept most of the way! It was an interesting start to our adventure in the East. On the plus side, walking into baggage claim and seeing my sweet Jake waiting for us very pleasant indeed!
